My name is Elena. I am a PhD student at Glasgow Caledonian University. I am originally from Russia from a very small town called Asbest located in the Ural mountains, right on the border of Europe and Asia. I arrived in Scotland in 2008, and have been here ever since, having fallen in love with this hospitable country and its people!
In 2009 I started my PhD. In my research project I am looking at the employability of social science doctoral researchers! In this blog I will be reflecting on the PhD process, people, conferences, meetings, deadlines, social events … everything that constitutes a life of a PhD student. Happy reading!
